An Urban Original

The clients who commissioned this home wanted a house with two distinctly different characters. Because the lot is located in one of San Francisco’s oldest and most established neighborhoods, they wanted a house that tastefully fit within the street’s conservative urban context. On the inside, however, they wanted their home to express its own unique character, reflecting their personal sense of originality while having the versatility to meet the changing needs of a family of six.
