Situated in Sonoma wine country, this timeless country house, guest quarters and barn complex was designed by Butler Armsden for a couple embarking on their second career as owners of a working vineyard. Surrounded by vineyards, the home and adjacent structures echo the aesthetic of the area’s working agricultural structures. One approaches the 3500 square foot main residence from a driveway that meanders through the vineyard. Indigenous wood and stone are used as primary building materials to give the house a look of permanence and natural belonging.
