Amy Hardina, Designer

It was love that brought Amy from Arizona to the Bay Area. After a three-year long distance relationship, she made the move to be with her now husband. Together they traveled around the western U.S. and Canada in a teardrop trailer for six months, gathering design inspiration from nature. Amy says she loves figuring out how a structure might fit into the landscape and dislikes when existing surroundings are ignored.

Amy is currently working on an historic Pacific Heights home, carefully blending the traditional elements with sleek, modern design. Cups of earl gray tea, music, and office chair calisthenics power her through her workday.

Amy’s already got her sights set on a backpacking trip through Patagonia, but until then she’s enjoying the historic architecture, redwood forests, coastal grasslands, and shorelines of the Bay Area.
