Salary Range: $66,400 - $99,600
Position Description
Designer I focuses on the production of project documents with an emphasis on assisting and supporting a project and associated design. The position requires the learning of design, permit and drawing processes while adhering to and implementing design, regulatory and firm standards.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Job Captain level or above
- Drafting required for all project work including floor plans, elevation, sections, details, and renderings
- Provides assistance to project teams and other staff members as required and may be directed by immediate levels above like Designer II or III on tasks
- Prepares project documentation [design presentations and construction documents]
- Works on 1 primary, single-family residential project but assists with additional projects or presentations as necessary
- Assists with other general office tasks that facilitate day-to-day operations of the office as needed
- Documents meeting minutes and project decisions
- Focus on learning office policies, drafting standards, project communications, and ArchiCAD
Qualifications
- Accredited degree in Architecture
- 0-2 years minimum of experience
- Non-licensed and working towards licensure
- Excellent ability to design, draw, model and communicate visually
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and collaborative with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated skill in 3D modeling/BIM software and 2D drafting (ArchiCAD preferred, but not required)
- Adobe Creative Suite experience is preferred
- Awareness of building code limitations
