Position Description 

The Project Manager - II leads the project team and manages every facet of the project to successfully deliver a design and work product that meets the defined design, budget and schedule parameters as well as the excellence standards set forth by the firm. This effort will be performed for multiple projects concurrently with a duration of 2 to 5 years, managing a portfolio of projects with an aggregate construction cost of $5-14M and a yearly aggregate professional design fees amount in the range of $1-1.4M.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of multiple midsize to large projects in all phases, incl. directing the team efficiently and profitably, and performing appropriate project management duties for all assigned projects.  

  • Responsible for priority assessment on midsized to large projects.  

  • Coordinates with Associate level for overall administration and organization of the design function of the firm.  

  • Develop and coordinate schedule and budget and monitors adherence to terms.   

  • Responsible for all presentations, adherence to office standards and filing systems, design development, permitting, and production of working drawings and construction documents on a project. Directs design process.  

  • Coordinates meetings, documents meeting minutes, documents site conditions and construction development.    

  • Acts as firm’s client contact on occasion in tandem with Associate and above and supervises project personnel on own projects.  

  • Capable of all tasks and duties of Designer and Job Captain levels.   

 

Qualifications

  • Accredited degree in Architecture  

  • 8-9 years minimum of professional, high-end residential experience  

  • May be Licensed or Non-licensed and close to licensure  

  • Excellent ability to communicate visually  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

  • Proactive, organized, and collaborative with exceptional problem-solving skills  

  • Advanced skill in 3D modeling/BIM software and 2D drafting (ArchiCAD preferred, but not required)  

  • Ability to manage and lead teams and design process.  

  • Skilled in project management tools for project initiation, planning, billings, and tracking labor

Salary Range: $123,000 - $169,000
