Candy Colquhoun

Office Manager

Candy was born in Perth, Australia, and later relocated to San Francisco at the age of 4. San Francisco, with its rich history and iconic structures influenced her interest in architecture while growing up. Her joy in gardening, cleaning and organizing and belief that decluttering can positively impact one’s workspace, aligns well with her position at Butler Armsden, where she helps the firm run smoothly in command at the front desk.

Beyond work, her passions and hobbies are greatly influenced by San Francisco's status as a year-round sports-loving city. She has a full calendar following her favorite Bay Area teams such as the Giants, the Golden State Warriors, and the 49ers. In addition to sports, Candy indulges in reading and watching murder mysteries. Her taste ranges from classic whodunits by Agatha Christie to contemporary, intricate thrillers with a twist, such as those by Harlan Corben.

When it comes to architectural preferences, Candy holds a special admiration for the Hearst Castle, designed by Julia Morgan. Visiting this architectural marvel feels like being transported to another country without leaving California. Her long-held dream has been to work for an architectural firm, and she finds immense joy in witnessing her talented colleagues create spaces and structures that seamlessly blend creativity with technical expertise.
